Glow in the Dark embroidery – our latest innovation.

What better way to get your brand seen no matter what time of the day it might be – with our Glow in the Dark embroidery you logo will be noticeable even in the dark.

For the past couple of months, we have been working closely with our IN HOUSE embroidery department, testing and developing new and exciting branding techniques.  Many of these don’t even get past the first stages of development, but options like 3D embroidery have and in fact nearly 90% of our UK production consists of 3D embroidery now.

We first saw this technique about a year ago, and back then we were a little sceptical about how it would work.  Since then the thread suppliers have developed better threads utilising new technology that make it easier to embroider but also means that the glow in the dark effect lasts longer time after time.

Now as with our 3D embroidery, there are limitations, the first of which is, in fact, 3D embroidery.

Yes it can be achieved, but due to the way in which the thread is stitched over the foam, there will be a noticeable darkness in places on the final product when viewed at night – now if this isn’t an issue then great, not only will you have a logo that jumps out from the cap in the daylight, but turn the lights off and your brands design will literally stand out from the crowd.

Another aspect to be aware of is that as with anything glow in the dark, it needs light to charge up the phosphors that stores the light and then slowly emits it making it glow.  The longer you leave the hat/beanie out in natural light or under a lamp the brighter and more intense the effect will be.

Now don’t just take our word for it, take a look at a few examples below.
